Yesterday I shared how to make your own vision board (dream board) the old fashion way. Today we’re going to make vision board the 21st century style. Vision board goes digital! It’s much simpler to do.

First, you need to find images for your vision board. Second, you use image editor software to compile your gathered images to make your vision board. Relax, it’s very easy to do, and best of all, it’s free!

Find Images

Let’s start with finding your images. Google is your best friend to find these images.

  1. Google Image Search

Enter the keyword of the images that you want to find. For example luxury home, vacation, Paris, Kyoto… or whatever you like. Then hit “Search Image”. In this example, Google returns millions images of luxury home.vision board, dream board

Browse all of those luxury home images and click the ones that you love. That’s right, you can choose more than one, after all you’re a millionaire who’s buying many luxury homes… One for winter vacation, one for summer, one for spring, and one for fall.Scroll down the page and you’ll find the image in bigger size. Right click on the image and “Save As” to your hard drive. There you go, you get a new luxury home!

  2.

  3. Royalty Free ImageHere you can find images using keyword research or by searching in categories. I really want to go to Japan for family vacation… eating Japanese bento while watching Sakura, so I searched for: Japan vacation.

Hmmm… there are a lot images. I found one that I really like. I clicked it to see bigger image then right clicked to save it.vision board, dream board

Compile Your Images

Now that you have all your images, let’s make your own vision board! There are many free image editors that you can use. Paint.Net, GIMP, Picassa, and many more. For the sake of simplicity, let’s use Piccasa which is part of Google Pack.

After you download and install Google Pack with Picassa, open Picassa. Choose the images that you want to create into vision board and highlight them. Then click Create > Picture Collage on the toolbar. Choose the type of picture that you want: pile, grid or contact sheet (you can see its preview).

There is a piece of software out there called mind movie that is really great also that you might want to share

  • 4 Raymond // Aug 28, 2007 at 0:23

    Nice tips.

I never knew that it can be done that way.

  • 5 Tricia // Aug 29, 2007 at 5:14

I just completed a Mind Movie and it was sure a lot of work but I’m happy with the end result. I have a link to it posted on my website now that it is on You Tube.
I also like the easier versions like instructed here. I have a vision screensaver using just my favorite photos, a vision photo album and of course a vision board on my wall.

Just completes my first ever vision board. Never think that it was so easy. Interesting, so what’s next?

  • 10 Aldian // Sep 14, 2007 at 13:35

Congratulation Zaki! You made the first step.

The next step is to learn and practice visualization.

” Visualization is the act of imagining something happening or imagining something as you want it to be.

You must be a relaxed state so that visualization causes your subconscious mind to use its faculties to make your visualization come true. Visualization can also be used to desensitize you to harmful or disturbing memories.”

You can learn visualization for free through our e-course at Secret of Law of Attraction :)

    Hi Aldian,

I have found the coolest and most effective tool to help with the visualization process – a great vision board software called Mind Movies Creator.

It was created by Ryan Higgins to help others visualize and manifest the life of their dreams. See a video and find out why here http://www.squidoo.com/vision-board-software

A Mind Movie allows you to create a vision of what you want, together with your Favorite song… the one that makes you feel good, the one that makes you want to dance, the one that makes you smile and sing along.

It’s like a 3 minute slide show/movie of your perfect life.

    I’m trying it out now.

I’m having fun making my own vision board/mind movie.

And because it’s a software, no need to cut up magazines!

    Thanks for you blog.

    Eric

I am still learning how to remake my vision board into something digital so I can make it my wallpaper. Thanks for sharing. If you get the chance, feel free to hit me back on my site.

Thanks for the great article. The law of attraction really works. It has changed my life for the better in so many ways that it is impossible to list them all on here. Using a vision board has changed my life. It has healed my chronic depression and brought me a warm and loving family. In fact it has had such a profound effect on my life that I have started my own blog to share with others how they too can change their lives for the better! It’s at http://the-universal-law.blogspot.com/
    Thanks!
