It’s almost a month since my last post. The truth is, I was overwhelmed with my too ambitious projects, I ended up not finishing anything.
To keep long story short, my mastermind group advised me to focus on 1-2 projects first and postpone the others. They also told me that one of the biggest reason many people fail is greed.
So that’s what I do. Focus and here what I’d do to keep my focus:
- List down all the tasks I need to do.
- Sort them by priority.
- Make a schedule for it.
- Tell other people I am committing myself to this schedule (I’ll tell my wife).
- Tackle the tasks one by one.
- Now and then, review my past actions. Ask myself how I can do it better? Or faster?
- Visualize that I’ve done all of my task well.
I hope this is useful for you, too.

Yes, I completely understand what you mean. I also tend to take on too many projects.
I have many problems with todo’s, so I can recommend you a free online tool that I use: http://www.rememberthemilk.com. You can also incorporate it with google calender if you use it.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Thanks for the online tool, Olivier. It’ll surely help the other readers too.
I usually use iPAQ for my reminder and plain book to jot down my thoughts. Still doing it the conventional way. Lol.

It is said that discipline is key to our success and one of the areas that we must be disciplined in is perseverance. In any race there must be a focus, whether it is the next checkpoint or the finish line. As believers we must distinguish our focal point.
