One common problem people encounter during visualization, “If I am not rich and successful now, how can I lie to myself and imagine that I am rich and successful?” I must tell you that visualization works regardless of your current reality. This is because your sub-conscious mind cannot tell the difference between reality and your imagination.

Simple Visualization Exercise

Let’s do this simple exercise for you to experience visualization and feel it yourself.

Close your eyes. Now think about a big yellow lemon. You take it out from your fridge. It feels cold. Peel the lemon. Hmm… Its juice squirts on your hand. Taste the peeled lemon with your tongue. What does it taste? Yuck, very sour.

Do you feel your saliva in your mouth? It tastes sour? How come? It’s only in your imagination. You don’t even actually taste it.

That’s, my friend, the power of visualization! And you just did one of visualization techniques, internalizing. It means seeing images in your mind’s eye.

Many of you are visual people. That is why you may make statements like, “I see what you are saying”. You need an image to associate with. If I asked you to tell me what your house looks like, the first thing that pops into your mind is an image of your house.

Fake It Until You Make It

Now let’s go back to the one common problem that people encounter during visualization, “If I am not rich and successful now, how can I lie to myself and imagine that I am rich and successful?”

What’s the one common trait of rich and successful people, namely millionaires? They have millions of dollars, right? They often receive payment of millions dollars check or wire transfer.

So why don’t you write yourself a million dollar check? Ten million dollar check? Or even one hundred million dollar check? Then visualize yourself that you receive that check monthly. Visualize how happy you are when you receive that check. Visualize what you can buy with that money. Visualize what you can provide to your family with that money.

Yes, fake it until you make it is a very powerful concept.

That’s why in The Secret movie, Jack Canfield (when he was still poor) added additional zeroes in one of the check that he received. He rewrote that check into a million dollar check. Then he put that check on the ceiling above his bed where he saw it before sleeping and after waking up.

Just completes my first ever vision board. Never think that it was so easy. Interesting, so what’s next?

So what is visualization? Visualization is the act of imagining something happening or imagining something as you want it to be.

You must be a relaxed state so that visualization causes your subconscious mind to use its faculties to make your visualization come true. Visualization can also be used to desensitize you to harmful or disturbing memories.”

To keep long story short, my mastermind group advised me to focus on 1-2 projects first and postpone the others. They also told me that one of the biggest reason many people fail is greed.

So that’s what I do. Focus and here what I’d do to keep my focus:

1. List down all the tasks I need to do.
2. Sort them by priority.
3. Make a schedule for it.
4. Tell other people I am committing myself to this schedule (I’ll tell my wife).
5. Tackle the tasks one by one.
6. Now and then, review my past actions. Ask myself how I can do it better? Or faster?
7. Visualize that I’ve done all of my task well.

First, you need to find images for your vision board. Second, you use image editor software to compile your gathered images to make your vision board. Relax, it’s very easy to do, and best of all, it’s free!

Find Images

Let’s start with finding your images. Google is your best friend to find these images.

1. Google Image Search

    

   

    

   Enter the keyword of the images that you want to find. For example luxury home, vacation, Paris, Kyoto… or whatever you like. Then hit “Search Image”. In this example, Google returns millions images of luxury home.

    

   Browse all of those luxury home images and click the ones that you love. That’s right, you can choose more than one, after all you’re a millionaire who’s buying many luxury homes… One for winter vacation, one for summer, one for spring, and one for fall.Scroll down the page and you’ll find the image in bigger size. Right click on the image and “Save As” to your hard drive. There you go, you get a new luxury home!

2. Royalty Free ImageHere you can find images using keyword research or by searching in categories. I really want to go to Japan for family vacation… eating Japanese bento while watching Sakura, so I searched for: Japan vacation.

    

   

    

   Hmmm… there are a lot images. I found one that I really like. I clicked it to see bigger image then right clicked to save it.

Compile Your Images

Now that you have all your images, let’s make your own vision board! There are many free image editors that you can use. Paint.Net, GIMP, Picassa, and many more. For the sake of simplicity, let’s use Piccasa which is part of Google Pack.

After you download and install Google Pack with Picassa, open Picassa. Choose the images that you want to create into vision board and highlight them. Then click Create > Picture Collage on the toolbar. Choose the type of picture that you want: pile, grid or contact sheet (you can see its preview).

Then click Create. There you go, you created your first vision board!

You can also use MyMasterBoard if you want the simplest thing in making your vision board. MyMasterBoard offers you to choose between more than one thousand photos from their library of digital images, or simply upload your own images. It’s very easy! Just click on the picture you like, write your statement or goal and click on the save button.

Creating your own vision board is very easy, whether it’s the old fashion vision board (cutting from magazine and pasting to a large piece paper or cartoon board) or digital vision board (such as laptop wallpaper).

In this post, I’ll share how to create vision board the old fashion way .

My friends were making their own vision boards. You see a pile of cut magazines there?

Basically you only need:

• A large piece of paper or cartoon board (cartoon board is better because it can last longer). You can get get it at your local art supply stores such as Hobby Lobby.
• Scissor and glue, which I believe you have them ready in your home.
• A lot of magazines, preferable lifestyle magazines, or any other magazine of your choice such as:
  • Golf Digest. I personally don’t play golf but my dad does and he enjoys this magazine. Sometimes I browse it and really like the golf clubs… Wishing I can visit each of them.
  • Card & Driver. I love car, especially bimmer! I had 325i and my next ones will be X5 and M6. Cut, cut, cut all those great sport cars!
  • Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and O, The Oprah Magazine. These are my wife’s but sometimes I cut them, too.
  • Bride’s. Before our wedding, my wife browsed many wedding magazines for the wedding gown, cakes and decoration, and made scrap book. Using this she and I had our dream wedding.
  • Travel & Leisure. There are many places that I haven’t visited yet… Shanghai, Kyoto, Madrid, Carribean, Dubai… Staying at suites in 5-star hotels, spa treatment… Hmmm, what a great vacation!
  • Artichectural Digest. My next home is definitely one of those nice luxury houses!

Now that you have all everything ready, you can start creating your own vision board. Just cut whatever you like from those magazines and paste it into your board. This is a never ending process… If you find something better, remove the old one and paste the new one.

This is the finished vision board. It’s huge, isn’t it?

Put your vision board where you can often see it.

• You can put on the wall in front of your bed so that you see it whenever you get up and before sleep.
• I put mine on the wall in front of my working desk.

Then start visualize it. I find it easier when I’m relax… listening to audio such as Attraction Accelerator surely hopes a lot.

Well, during an average day, you walk around seeing and sensing things you might like to experience, and in doing so, you think about how you can obtain it. The clearer you are about the experience you want to have from the size, shape, texture, smell, etc., you will cause your emotion to trigger the action to create stronger thoughts, which are then stored into your subconscious mind. It is when enough similar thoughts have collected that the subconscious mind will send the specific signal into the Universe with your desired images. How? Through the constant repeating and storing of focused concentrated thoughts with information from your conscious mind to the subconscious whether it is positive or negative.

The conscious mind is constantly taking in almost everything visually screening, sorting, analyzing the content, and deciding whether it will become one of your experiences. As your conscious mind scopes out a new adventure, the subconscious mind vibrationally feels the emotional energy that is wrapped around the information it is receiving. This is done to see whether it is a wish or something that you really might like to experience in the future or now. But even if it is a wish the moment you insert enough emotion behind it, you will trigger manifestation. This is the formula for creating:

Thought + Desire + Emotion + Belief + Visualization + Expectation = Manifestation

Stay focused only on positive, uplifting, empowering thoughts about yourself and your desire, because unseemly chaotic, outside stimulation (family, friends, spouse, lover, etc.) can easily sidetrack you or cause you to become unfocused or stuck in pursing their desire rather than your own. Such subliminal information can also come from watching TV and listening to the radio and can slowly hypnotize a person into believing they need everything “right now” from a new car, a bigger house, to a better job without ever being clear about what else comes with that desire. Listening to others who seem to have your best at heart may have a bias, which focused on might convince you that you are never going to be a success or live a glorious, delicious life because successful people look like models, or are born rich and have the right connections.

So, in collecting data keep in mind you can choose the better part of something that may not be to your total liking. You may not like the person personality, but love the suit they have on, therefore focus only on the suit and not the person. Keep in mind that your subconscious mind has the ability to go beyond the physical and manifest anything you can create in your mind if you desire it with deep passion, and believe it. As with anything in colleting data always “consider the source” i.e., what is the purpose of this information, where is it coming from and is it for the highest good of all.

Ponder:

1. Acknowledge that you create your reality.
2. Acknowledge that you are worthy.
3. What are you grateful for now?
4. How decisive are you about your desire?
5. How determined are you?
6. Do you have faith?
7. What really inspires you?
8. What motivates you?
9. What makes you laugh?
10. If it’s not positive then it is negative.
11. Are you connected to the Universe?
12. Do you believe?
13. Are you aligned with the Universe?
14. Develop a positive Attitude.
15. Be grateful now for seen and unseen.

If it is something you don’t want, don’t think about it, it’s just that simple. For what you resist persist. The Law of Attraction cannot tell if you do not want the experience, especially since you keep thinking about it and wondering and predicting what you will do about it. Sensing that you want to keep creating more doubt, fear, anxiety, etc. because your energy is so focused on those types of experiences, the law says here’s more. The more you concentrate on the unwanted object or experiences, the more energy you give it to grow. If it is something you truly desire, think about it to the point you can smell it, feel it and taste it and then “act as if you already have it in your life. The next time you get into your old car, “act as if it’s that new luxurious one you desire. Every time you get behind the wheel only believe, smell, think of it as that new one. Start play-acting and pretend. Imagine you have the job, car, etc. and actually sense/visualize how you feel; insert yourself into the vision. Why? Because the universe does not distinguish between what is make believe and what is real. When you are pretending to the point that you actually believe you are in possession of the object of desire, then the universe matches it if you have mentally aligned with it and have physically made room for it.

How is this accomplished? Well, the universe doesn’t have a mechanism to detect when you are pretending, so your consistent desirous thoughts about what you would love to experience is responded to as the real deal.

Go to the car dealership and sit in that luxurious new car. Go to the jeweler and try on that diamond ring, and sit in on a corporate meeting and get that feeling of entitlement in your soul. Start pretending, act as if now. Use this exercise daily. Start small then build to a bigger desire, you will need to feel confident and comfortable when you are acting as if. Remember, the subconscious mind doesn’t distinguish between the real world and a virtual one. Acting as if will cost you nothing and there is not a great deal of energy expended. You simply incorporate the process into your normal daily routine.

Why pretend? Pretending is like having access to a virtual reality game without being hooked up to any electronic equipment. Believing it’s a game, the suspicious, cautious conscious mind will not reject, analyze or judge any of these thoughts against your current belief system because it views this exercise as play.

Do not be deterred if others think you are acting weird, for it is through understanding and practicing the principles of the law that you will receive everything you believe and desire. Yes, it is the Law of Attraction and one of its real secrets is “if you believe it, you can achieve it.” Only then can you have, be or do anything in your life if you desire it. Believing and having faith is the foundation for any desire to manifest.
